Principal Message
Dear Families,
Welcome back to Term 3. Unfortunately our School Disco has had to be postponed, again, due to the weather conditions. We will look at rescheduling this later in the year. Next week we will welcome some very special visitors into the school - Kindergarten will have an incubator and hatching chickens in their class for the next two weeks. Great excitement awaits!!!
We have many students attending the Zone Athletics Carnival next Friday, we wish them luck. A Parent / Child Confirmation meeting will be held on Monday night and on Wednesday Night our School Parent Forum meeting will be held. With the Parent Forum, you have the option of attending the meeting at the school or viewing on facebook, as it will be live streamed. If you have any agenda items please send them through to stambrosepf@gmail.com.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION 2022
A reminder the Parent/Child meeting for this Sacrament is next Monday 25th July at 6:00pm in the Year 3 classrooms, at St Ambrose, or you can attend Wednesday 27th July at 6:00pm at St Anthony’s School.
(Please note this meeting is only for the students who have enrolled in this program)

CHANGES TO CANTEEN ORDERING - TERM 3
- Lunch Menu Closing time has changed from 8.30am to 8.00am
- Sushi cut-off time remails the same at 6.30am
School Fee Reminder
Term 3 School Fees have now been issued and were due by the 19th July 2022.

CONGRATULATIONS
The Australian Junior Dirt Track Championships were held on the 9th and 10th July during the school holidays. Year 5 student Taylen Howard #107, competed across the 2 days, in 3 classes; 65cc (9 - U13yrs), 85cc/150cc (9 - U13yrs) and 85cc Modified (7 - U12yrs) racing against competitors from near and far all competing for an Australian Title. The race structure consisted of 4 Rounds, repechage and 6 lap finals. Taylen made it straight through to finals on all 3 bikes, finishing on the podium with a 2nd on the 85cc Modified, 3rd 65cc and a respectable 7th on the 85cc. Next month he will be competing in the NSW Junior Dirt Track Titles and later in the year the Australian Track Titles and NSW Track Titles.
StoryKids Episode - ‘Melodias’
StoryKids has released another amazing episode with our very own Scarlett Mills in Year 6. Scarlett wrote a story, Melodias - a tale about a musical boy who cannot be separated from his violin. Scarlett’s story was selected by StoryKids and narrated by Australian performer and television presenter, David Campbell.
StoryKids is a storytelling podcast for children and families that puts the spotlight on young authors from a wide range of backgrounds and voices. Each 10 minute episode features a child’s original story which is brought to life by well known Australian personalities and award-winning sound engineers.

Book Covering Volunteers Needed
We are seeking the assistance of parents and caregivers to cover small readers.
If you are able to help, please visit our Library Monday or Tuesday to collect a pack to take home.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
